The Shobara Dam, completed in recent years, offers visitors a compelling sight with a bridge that diagonally crosses its face, providing an up-close view of the dam's wall. While not the largest dam, the view from the bridge is impressive. The dam is a gravity concrete dam with a height of 42 meters and a crest length of 118.5 meters, completed in 2015. Pedestrians can walk on the dam's crest, but vehicles are not allowed. Visitors can observe water being discharged from the service spillway. Panels on the dam's side walls display photos of the construction process and dam specifications. Dam cards are available at the management office from 8:30 to 17:15, including weekends and holidays. A parking lot is available near the management office, but there are no restrooms.
