Koshikakean is a popular traditional confectionery shop in Tendo, Yamagata, renowned for its exquisite warabi mochi and seasonal treats like strawberry warabi mochi. Located in a quiet residential area, the shop offers a taste of authentic Japanese sweets in a charming setting. Note that during summer, they operate a shaved ice stand at Yamagata Sports Park. Given the popularity of Koshikakean, especially for its warabi mochi, it's best to visit early in the day to avoid disappointment as items often sell out. The shop is closed on Mondays (or Wednesdays if Monday is a public holiday).
