The Higashimatsushima City Earthquake Reconstruction Memorial Museum is housed in the renovated former Nobiru Station building, which was damaged during the Great East Japan Earthquake. Visitors can learn about the disaster and the subsequent recovery efforts through photo panels, exhibits, and a large screen showing documentary footage. See the damaged railway tracks and ticket machines that tell the story of the earthquake. The museum serves as a place to remember the events of the earthquake and honor those who were affected. Open daily (except for the 3rd Wednesday of the month and New Year's holidays) from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Located in Nobiru, Higashimatsushima, Miyagi Prefecture.
