Sakura Space Park in Takahagi commemorates Japan's first television satellite relay reception site. Visit in spring to stroll along the 300-meter cherry blossom avenue and admire the massive parabolic antenna visible through the trees. While the original KDD satellite communication antennas are gone, a monument remains, and a large radio telescope antenna used by the National Astronomical Observatory is located nearby. The park offers a unique blend of natural beauty and historical significance. It is easily accessible by bus from JR Takahagi Station or by car from the Joban Expressway Takahagi IC. A perfect spot for a relaxing afternoon surrounded by nature and a touch of space history.
