Hasedera Temple, also known as Hase Kannon, is an ancient temple with roots stretching back to the Kamakura period. Its main attraction is the towering 9.18-meter-tall eleven-faced Kannon statue, one of Japan's largest wooden Buddhist images. The temple grounds offer panoramic views of Kamakura's sea, the town of Hase, and even the Miura Peninsula from its observation deck. Known for its beautiful flowers year-round, especially plum blossoms, azaleas, and autumn foliage, Hasedera is a must-visit. Located a 5-minute walk from Hase Station, it's also part of the Kamakura 33 Kannon Pilgrimage and enshrines Daikokuten, one of the Seven Lucky Gods. Note that there is a separate fee for the Kannon Museum.
