Zuiganji Treasure Museum

Overview

Located within Zuiganji Temple in Matsushima, the Zuiganji Treasure Museum (also known as Seiryuden) showcases cultural properties related to Zuiganji Temple and the Date family. See important cultural assets such as wall paintings from the main hall and armor worn by Date Masamune during the Korean expeditions. The museum is accessible with the Zuiganji Temple admission ticket. The museum features exhibits including Date Masamune's armor and artwork. Note that photography is prohibited inside the museum. Allow at least an hour to fully appreciate the collection.
