The Hakusan Shirakawa-go White Road (Gifu Prefecture side) is a scenic mountain road connecting Shirakawa-go in Gifu Prefecture with Hakusan in Ishikawa Prefecture. Open from early June to early November, this toll road offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, especially during the autumn foliage season. Key attractions along the route include numerous waterfalls and panoramic viewpoints. Note that pedestrian, motorcycle, and nighttime access are prohibited. The road provides access to hiking trails and the Shirakawa-go observation point. Be aware that the winding roads may cause motion sickness.
