Visit the Grave of Jotanbo, located at the historic site of Enichi-ji Temple in Bandai, Fukushima. Jotanbo was a prominent monk-soldier who played a significant role in the late Heian period. His final battle was in the Battle of Yokotagawara, where he died aiding Minamoto no Yoritomo. The temple fell into decline after his death. The grave is accessible via a short walk from Bandai-machi Station or a quick drive from the Ban-etsu Expressway's Bandai-Kawahigashi Interchange. The admission fee is ¥300, or ¥500 for a combined ticket with the Enichi-ji Temple Museum. It's a tranquil spot to reflect on local history.
