Located in the upper reaches of the Kawazu River, where the Amagi mountains loom, Kawazu Seven Waterfalls features seven waterfalls cascading down basalt columnar joints. A 1km-long exploration path allows visitors to appreciate each unique waterfall. The area is known for its autumn foliage and cherry blossoms. You can access the falls via a 25-minute bus ride from Kawazu Station. Note that the trails involve some steep stairs and slopes, so wear comfortable shoes. Consider taking the bus to the uppermost falls and walking downhill.
