Kiyomizu-dera Temple, founded in 587, is revered as a temple for warding off evil, enshrining the eleven-faced Kannon. Located in Yasugi, Shimane Prefecture, it features the only three-storied pagoda in the Sanin region and numerous significant cultural properties within its expansive grounds. The temple is a scenic highlight of the prefectural natural park, especially beautiful in spring when 100 Yoshino cherry trees bloom. Note that the treasure hall is closed from November to March. It is accessible by bus from Yasugi Station or by car from Yasugi IC.
