The Minami Izu Subtropical Garden is a small park near Hong Kong Port, a 15-minute walk from Ishirozaki Ocean Park via Ishirozaki Port. While it may appear as a roadside green space along the prefectural road, it features a diverse collection of tropical plants, resembling a botanical garden. The park boasts around 800 species of subtropical plants, including towering Canary Island date palms and Washingtonia palms that reach over 20 meters. It's a great place to take a break and enjoy the subtropical atmosphere. Although primarily accessible by car, parking is limited. A bus stop is conveniently located nearby.
