Jinguji Temple, also known as Jinguji Temple, is famous for the Omizu-okuri festival, where water is sent to Todaiji Temple in Nara. The temple's main hall, built in the Muromachi period with a gabled and hipped roof made of cypress bark, is a designated Important Cultural Property. Visitors can explore the historic grounds and even drink from the Wakasai well. Located in Obama, Fukui Prefecture, the temple is accessible by car or a short taxi ride from Higashi-Obama Station. Explanations during visits require advance booking. Parking is available for 30 cars. Wheelchair accessible ramps are available.
