The Three-Storied Pagoda of Horyu-ji Temple, also known as Horin-ji Temple, is located in Ikaruga, Nara Prefecture. This pagoda is one of the Ikaruga Three Pagodas, along with the pagodas of Horyu-ji and Hokki-ji. The original pagoda, a designated national treasure, was destroyed by lightning in 1944 and rebuilt in 1975 with the support of locals and writer Aya Koda. Visitors can appreciate the pagoda's beautiful Asuka-period design, especially when the wind chimes create a serene melody. While the pagoda's interior is not open to the public, the exterior view is well worth the visit, especially during the cherry blossom season. The pagoda is easily accessible and offers a peaceful atmosphere, making it a must-see landmark in the Ikaruga area.
