Located in Ogawara Town, the Okawara Catholic Church is a charming Western-style building that was the first of its kind in the area. Modeled after the Catholic Church in Tsuruoka City, though smaller in size, it became a popular attraction upon its construction during the Taisho era. The church is situated in a residential area and also houses a kindergarten. Visitors can access the church via a 13-minute walk from Ogawara Station on the Tohoku Main Line or a 20-minute drive from Murata IC on the Tohoku Expressway. Please note that services are held on Sunday mornings. Limited parking for two cars is available.
