Shingenkan

Overview

Shingenkan is a restaurant and souvenir shop located next to Erin-ji Temple, the final resting place of the famous warlord Takeda Shingen. A large, golden statue of Shingen greets visitors at the entrance. The restaurant is a popular stop for bus tours, serving set meals featuring local specialties like Hoto noodles and Matsusaka beef sukiyaki. The first floor offers a wide variety of Yamanashi souvenirs. Note that the building has multiple staircases, which may pose accessibility challenges. It's an ideal spot to combine a meal with souvenir shopping while exploring the historical Erin-ji Temple.
