The Toyota Municipal Museum of Art showcases modern and contemporary art in a building designed by Yoshio Taniguchi, also known for his work on the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The museum is known for its architecture and integration of natural light. The permanent collection includes lacquer crafts and design pieces. Located a 15-minute walk from Meitetsu Toyota-shi Station or a 15-minute drive from Toyota IC on the Tomei Expressway, the museum offers wheelchair-accessible facilities. Admission to the permanent exhibition (including the Takahashi Setsuro Gallery) is ¥300 for adults and ¥200 for university/high school students; free for junior high students and younger. Special exhibitions are priced separately.
