Ōsugi Shrine, located in Inashiki City, Ibaraki Prefecture, is the head shrine of approximately 670 Ōsugi Shrines in the Kanto and Tohoku regions. Known as the "Nikko Tosho-gu of Ibaraki" due to its vibrant and elaborate architecture, the shrine is famous for its Kirin Gate and offers various blessings, including protection from evil, matchmaking, and success in gambling, especially at the Katsuma Shrine within its grounds, popular among horse racing enthusiasts. Visitors can also find unique attractions like the Nade-Momo (stroking peach) for warding off evil and the Yume-Musubi Daimyojin, a deity that grants wishes. The shrine features a large Ebisu statue and tengu figures at the entrance, along with the impressive Ōsugi sacred trees. Open all day, it provides a colorful and spiritually enriching experience.
