Urasaki Doetsu Itsukushima Shrine, located in Onomichi, Hiroshima, features a captivating torii gate that appears to float on the sea. While smaller than the one at Miyajima, it offers a worthwhile sight, especially during low tide when you can walk right up to the gate. Visiting during high tide provides a different perspective, with the gate seemingly floating on the water. This shrine is a great addition to a scenic drive and offers a peaceful atmosphere.
