The Unazuki Dam is a gravity-style concrete dam built to manage floods and utilize water for tap water and power generation. Located in Kurobe, Toyama Prefecture, it's accessible by a 30-minute drive from the Kurobe IC on the Hokuriku Expressway or a 20-minute walk from Unazuki Onsen Station on the Toyama Chiho Railway. Visitors can explore the dam's structure, including a free information center called "Daumukonkan," and enjoy scenic views from the observation deck. The surrounding area, especially in November, offers beautiful autumn foliage. The dam is also visible from the Kurobe Gorge Railway's Torokko train, providing a unique perspective of the dam and its emerald-green lake.
