Takatoriyaki Soke is the ancestral home of Takatori ware, a pottery style originating with Takatori Hachizan, a Korean potter brought to Japan during Hideyoshi's Korean campaign. Later influenced by Kobori Enshu, it became a leading kiln of the Enshu Seven Kilns, known for expressing the beauty favored by Enshu. The current Soke is a direct descendant of Hachizan, inheriting the name through generations. Visitors can view a display of Takatori ware masterpieces passed down through the generations, offering a glimpse into the rich history of this pottery tradition.
