Chikuma River View Park

Overview

Chikuma River View Park offers panoramic views of the Chikuma River, the surrounding rural landscape, the townscape, and the Kawanakajima Plain. Located in Chikuma City, Nagano Prefecture, it's easily accessible from the Koshoku IC (10 km, 15 minutes) or a 5-minute taxi ride from Yashiro Station on the Shinano Railway. The park features a small parking area, a gazebo, and an observation deck. It's a popular spot for nighttime views, although first-time visitors should consider visiting during daylight to familiarize themselves with the location due to limited surrounding lighting. The park is particularly beautiful in early May when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. A great place to stop and take a break while driving.
