Located right in front of JR Kesennuma Station, the Kesennuma Station Tourist Information Center is your first stop for exploring the city and the Sanriku area. The center offers a wealth of tourist pamphlets, including drive maps, and provides helpful information on city bus routes, commercial facilities, and local cuisine. Rent-a-cycles are available, including electric-assist models for tackling the hilly terrain around Kesennuma. The harbor area, with many tourist attractions, is a bit of a walk from the station, making a bicycle a convenient way to explore.
