Oki no Kannon, often called the "Mont Saint-Michel of Onomichi," is a unique temple hall located just off the coast of Urasaki Town in Onomichi, Hiroshima. During low tide, visitors can walk across the seabed to reach the temple. Historically, the island on which the temple sits was known as "Urasaki Island," giving the town its current name. Be cautious when crossing, as the rocks can be slippery and the stairs are steep with a rusty handrail. The best time to visit is during low tide to experience the unique access. It's located approximately 30 minutes by car from Onomichi Station.
