The Hirayama Ikuo Silk Road Museum, located near the Kai-Koizumi train station in Hokuto, Yamanashi, showcases the art and life's work of renowned Japanese painter Ikuo Hirayama, who was deeply inspired by the Silk Road. The museum features Hirayama's paintings, including his famous "Great Silk Road" series, alongside a collection of Silk Road artifacts and Gandhara art acquired by Hirayama and his wife. Visitors can also view a recreation of Hirayama's atelier. The museum is accessible and offers barrier-free facilities. Open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (last entry at 4:30 PM), but closed from late December to mid-March. Admission is ¥1200 for adults, and ¥800 for university and high school students.
