Hisaizu Shrine, with roots tracing back to the Heian period, has been a spiritual center for warriors and commoners alike. The Tokugawa shogunate also held it in high regard, with visits from the second and third shoguns. Today, it's a beloved spot for traditional events like New Year's visits and Shichi-Go-San celebrations, as well as a peaceful retreat. Don't miss the ancient wisteria tree (famous during the Wisteria Festival), the Hirata Atsutane votive painting, and the power stone dedicated by Sannomiya Unosuke. Located in Koshigaya, Saitama, the shrine is a 25-minute walk from Koshigaya Station or a short bus ride. Contact the shrine directly for prayer times.
