Visit the former residence of Kido Takayoshi, also known as Katsura Kogoro, one of the key figures of the Meiji Restoration. Located in Hagi, Yamaguchi Prefecture, this well-preserved, two-story wooden house offers a glimpse into his early life. Explore the 12 rooms, including his birthplace, and view exhibits of calligraphy and photographs from his childhood. The residence is conveniently accessible by car or a 25-minute walk from Higashi-Hagi Station. Knowledgeable volunteer guides are available on-site to provide detailed explanations.
