Originally the private residence of Bunzo Sakuraba, the last mayor of Odate before its cityhood, this early Showa period structure features a unique observation tower with glass windows on all sides. Inside, admire the craftsmanship of the large Zelkova beams, wide floorboards, and Akita cedar accents. The building also showcases intricate details in the attached study and delicate handrails.
