Ono Falls, celebrated as one of the Eight Views of Kiso, offers a refreshing cascade right off National Route 19 in Agematsu, Nagano. Immortalized in ukiyo-e prints by Ando Hiroshige, this accessible waterfall is a quick stop for travelers. Note the JR Chuo Main Line bridge overhead, a unique feature that blends nature with infrastructure. The falls are especially impressive from late March to May during snowmelt, offering increased water volume. A small parking area is available, making it an easy and worthwhile break while driving through the Kiso region. Be cautious of fast-moving trucks on Route 19 when approaching the parking area.
