This caldera lake, the ninth largest in Japan, offers stunning views of Mount Showa-shinzan, Mount Usu, and distant Mount Yotei. Take a boat to Nakajima Island to visit the Lake Toya Forest Museum. The southwestern shore is home to Lake Toya Onsen, a hub for ryokans, hotels, buses, and sightseeing cruises.
