Located in the central area of Shiga Kogen, the Koten-ga-hara Mammoth Ski Resort offers slopes suitable for all skill levels, with steeper inclines at the top and gentler slopes at the bottom, perfect for beginners. The resort is easily accessible by car or bus from Nagano Station. Open from late November to early May, conditions are snow-dependent. A day pass grants access to the entire mountain, with a slightly cheaper option for just the central area. The base of the slopes features amenities such as restaurants, rental shops, and a childcare facility (reservations required).
