Wakasa Wada Beach, located in Takahama, Fukui Prefecture, is easily accessible with a 10-minute walk from Wakasa Wada Station. This beach earned the Blue Flag international environmental certification in 2016, the first in Asia for a beach and marina, and has also been selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Bathing Beaches by the Ministry of the Environment. Open from mid-July to late August, the beach offers various amenities including beach houses, showers, and restrooms. Note that barbecues are prohibited on the beach.
