Located at 2,307m, Yokoteyama Shibu Pass Ski Resort boasts the highest point in Shiga Kogen, offering panoramic views that extend to Mt. Fuji and the Sea of Japan on clear days. Known for its excellent snow quality and beautiful frost-covered trees, the resort caters to all skill levels with a variety of slopes, including intermediate runs, advanced courses, and powder snow areas through birch forests. The Shibu Pass area, accessible from the Yokoteyama summit, features primarily intermediate slopes and remains open until late May due to its high altitude. With a full-mountain pass available, visitors can enjoy extensive skiing and snowboarding across the resort. Access is convenient by car from the Joshin-etsu Expressway or by bus from JR Nagano Station.
