Iiyama Traditional Industry Hall

Overview

Discover the rich artistic heritage of Iiyama at the Iiyama Traditional Industry Hall. Located a 10-minute walk from both the JR Iiyama Line and the Hokuriku Shinkansen Iiyama Station, this hall showcases traditional crafts of Shinshu, including Iiyama Buddhist altars and Uchiyama paper. Visitors can explore exhibits of historically significant crafts and even try their hand at traditional Japanese paper-making. Open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (closed Mondays, or the following day if Monday is a holiday), the hall offers a glimpse into the region's cultural legacy. Admission is ¥300 for adults and ¥200 for children. Parking is available for 30 cars.
