Katsukido is renowned as the birthplace of "Onsen Manju," a staple of Japanese hot spring resorts. Located near Ikaho Shrine at the top of the stone steps, this shop offers freshly made, warm manju perfect for enjoying on the go. The manju features a brown sugar-infused dough, inspired by the color of Ikaho's hot spring waters, and a moderately sweet bean paste filling. Given its popularity, visiting earlier in the day is recommended to avoid potential sell-outs. Note that the manju are best enjoyed within a day of purchase.
