Amihari Onsen Arine Sanso is a rustic hot spring retreat nestled in the mountains of Shizukuishi, Iwate Prefecture, near the Amihari Onsen Ski Resort and a short drive from the popular Koiwai Farm. This secluded mountain lodge offers a tranquil escape where visitors can soak in milky-white, therapeutic waters while enjoying panoramic views of the Shizukuishi area and even Morioka's nightscape from a distance. The open-air bath provides stunning scenery and a chance to encounter the resident goats. Open from April to November (9 AM to 9 PM) and December to March (10 AM to 6 PM), it's the perfect place to unwind and appreciate the natural beauty of the Tohoku region. Note that the facility is closed on the first Monday of each month (or the following day if the first Monday is a holiday).
