The Nitokumon Gate, located within the Tsu Castle ruins, is a historic gate originally built in 1820 as the main gate of the Yuzokan, a domain school founded by the 10th lord of the Tsu domain, Takatoyo Todo. It was later used as the main gate for various schools, including a normal school, a junior high school, and a library. The gate was moved to its current location in Tsu Castle Park in 1971 and is designated as a historical site by Tsu City. While visiting, take a moment to appreciate the gate's history and architecture, and imagine the students who once passed through it. The gate is situated near a Japanese garden within the park.
