Todo Island, located off the northernmost point of Rebun Island, is a small, uninhabited island known for its rugged natural beauty. While currently inaccessible by public transport, it can be viewed from afar at Cape Sukoton. The island, approximately 4 km in circumference, features a lighthouse and offers a glimpse into the untouched landscapes of Hokkaido's northern reaches. Historically, it was named for the seals (tods) that once frequented its shores, though sightings are now less common. Boat charters may be available for closer access, but viewing from Cape Sukoton is the most common way to experience this remote location. Best visited during clear weather for optimal views.
