Hibita Shrine, located in Isehara City, is one of the oldest shrines in Sagami Province, with a history stretching back to 660 BC. The shrine is easily accessible by bus from Isehara or Tsurumaki-onsen Stations. Known for its serene atmosphere and historical significance, the grounds feature notable sights such as a majestic Zelkova tree split from its base and the Sanomiya Local Museum, showcasing artifacts from the Jomon period. The shrine is also a starting point for climbing Mt. Takatori. Visitors can enjoy the unique five-roped bell at the worship hall and explore the ancient ritual site of the Shimo-yato ruins.
