Shioya Brewery, a venerable miso and soy sauce producer since the Edo period, is located in Suzaka, Nagano Prefecture. Known for its traditional methods of crafting Tamazukuri miso and Tamari soy sauce, the brewery offers visitors a glimpse into its historic facilities, some of which are designated as National Registered Tangible Cultural Properties. While visiting, sample the local flavors and explore the charming grounds. The brewery is a 20-minute drive from Suzaka Nagano Higashi IC or a short taxi ride from Suzaka Station. Open from 9:00 to 17:00, but closed on January 1st and occasionally other days. Parking is available.
