The Minobusan Somon Gate marks the entrance to Minobusan, a significant site in Yamanashi Prefecture. Established in 1665, this gate stands on the historic grounds where Nichiren met Nanbu Sanenaga. The "Kaiekikan" plaque is calligraphed by the 36th head priest, Nichicho. Visitors can see the natural stone where Nichiren rested upon his arrival. Located off Route 52, a 10-minute bus ride from Minobu Station, the gate serves as a transition into the temple district, lined with lodging, souvenir shops, and eateries. Be mindful of the narrow road when driving near the gate.
