Mount Yotei, also known as Ezo Fuji, is a 1,898-meter active volcano offering stunning panoramic views of the Sea of Japan and the Pacific Ocean. This iconic mountain, resembling Mount Fuji, is a popular destination for hikers and nature enthusiasts. The summit offers a 2.5km crater rim walk. It's a haven for wildlife, including foxes, squirrels, and various bird species. While there's a mountain hut near the summit, it's recommended for day trips only. Located across Niseko, Makari, Kyogoku, Kutchan, and Kimobetsu towns, it's accessible by bus and car. The best time to visit is on a clear day to fully appreciate the breathtaking scenery.
