Kakegawa-juku was the 26th post station along the Tokaido Road. Located near Kakegawa Station and Kakegawa Castle, the area offers a glimpse into Japan's Edo period. While not many original buildings remain, the castle town's layout and some historical markers evoke its past. The main street leading to Kakegawa Castle features shops with unified white-walled architecture, preserving the traditional atmosphere. The former Honjin site is now a lively area with restaurants and bars. Visitors can explore the area on foot, taking in the sights such as the Kakegawa Castle and the remnants of the old post town.
