Overview

Ogawayama Katarutado (Pilgrimage Site No. 5) is a serene temple located in Yokose, Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture. Known for its association with the Thirty-Four Kannon Pilgrimage Sites of Chichibu, this temple features a charming vermilion-lacquered Niomon gate and a main hall (Kannon-do). The temple is dedicated to the deity Juichimen Kannon. The temple's name originates from a tale of a monk discussing the mysteries of Waka poetry. Note that the office for temple stamp is located at Chokoji Temple, about a 5-minute walk away. The surrounding area is a quiet residential neighborhood, offering a peaceful atmosphere for visitors.
