Suirennuma is a marshland area dotted with numerous ponds, located near Hachimantai in Towada, Aomori Prefecture. It's accessible by a 90-minute bus ride from Aomori Station. The area is known for its Mizubasho (Asian skunk cabbage) and water lilies, as well as being a habitat for the Mori Aogaeru (forest green tree frog). Visitors can enjoy scenic views of the Hakkoda Mountains reflected in the ponds, especially beautiful during the autumn foliage season. Be aware that parking is limited, and the paths can be muddy. The best time to visit is from late spring to autumn to avoid snow-covered trails.
