Inukai Falls, a majestic waterfall once admired by Wakeno Kiyomaro and Sakamoto Ryoma on his honeymoon, is a renowned scenic spot featured in the "Sangoku Meisho Zue" from 1843. This stunning waterfall, cascading from a cliff covered in columnar joints, was selected as the number one spot in the New Kagoshima Hyakkei (100 Views). The falls are 36 meters high and 22 meters wide. Located in Makizono-cho, Kirishima City, Kagoshima Prefecture, it's a 20-minute drive (13 km) from the Kyushu Expressway Mizobe Kagoshima Airport IC. Parking is available for 5 regular cars and 3 large buses (free of charge).
