Emperor's Room Memorial Park

Overview

The Emperor's Room Memorial Park preserves and exhibits the relocated "Emperor's Room" from the former Shiobara Imperial Villa, a retreat used by Emperor Taisho, Emperor Showa, and other members of the imperial family. Located near the Nanatsu Iwa Suspension Bridge in Nasushiobara, Tochigi, the park offers a glimpse into the imperial family's history and lifestyle during the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa periods. Visitors can explore the building, view historical artifacts, and appreciate the serene natural surroundings. The park is easily accessible by JR bus to Shiobara Fukuwata or Nanatsu Iwa Suspension Bridge stop. Open to the public with a small admission fee, it's a tranquil spot to learn about Japanese imperial history and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
