Located in the heart of Hiroshima, Shukkei-en Garden is a meticulously landscaped Japanese garden that offers a tranquil escape from the city. Originally created in 1620 by Asano Nagaakira, the garden is designed to mimic famous landscapes, including China's West Lake. Visitors can explore meticulously crafted bridges, ponds filled with koi, and diverse flora that changes with the seasons. Despite suffering damage from both fire and the atomic bomb, Shukkei-en has been beautifully restored and features barrier-free access. Open daily, with extended hours in the summer, it's an ideal spot for a peaceful stroll any time of year. Admission is ¥260 for adults.
