Haritsuna Shrine, one of the Owari Five Shrines, is located a 15-minute walk from Inuyama Yuen Station or a 20-minute walk from Inuyama Station. This shrine is dedicated to the gods of maritime development, protection against misfortune, fertility, matchmaking, and safe childbirth. Known for its more than 1000-year history, the shrine is slightly older than Inuyama Castle and was moved to its current location in 1882. Visitors can explore the main hall and the charming sacred horse statue, a guardian of children. The Inuyama Festival, famous for its elaborate floats, originates from this shrine.
