The Oirase Walking Trail offers a stunning 14-kilometer path through a pristine natural forest along the Oirase Stream. Located in Towada, Aomori Prefecture, the trail is easily accessible by car or bus from Towada City, Aomori Station, or Hachinohe Station. Along the way, discover 14 unique waterfalls, including the dynamic Choshi Otaki and the towering Kumoi Falls. The most popular section, between Ishigedo and Keno-guchi, is an 8.9km, 3-hour walk. The full trail from Yakeyama to Keno-guchi takes about 5 hours, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the beautiful scenery. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear, as the path can be muddy after rain, and enjoy the vibrant greenery and refreshing atmosphere, especially beautiful during the autumn foliage season.
