The Banryu Turret, a reconstructed watchtower, stands as a symbol of Kuwana's history and its connection to the sea. Featured in Hiroshige's ukiyo-e prints of the Tokaido Road, this turret once guarded the entrance to the Shichiri-no-Watashi ferry crossing. Today, visitors can explore the tower's interior, which includes a small museum on the second floor, and enjoy views of the Ibi River. Located near Kuwana Castle and within walking distance of the Shichiri-no-Watashi site, the Banryu Turret offers a glimpse into the past. Open from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, except on Mondays (or the following day if Monday is a holiday), admission is free.
